Yep we are still here...

Okay so one of my resolutions this year was to Blog MORE...but obviously that hasn't happen. In fact, I think I have gotten worse. To be honest 2011 has completely worn me out and I am physically and emotionally exhausted. I am hoping that with June right around the corner and it being the halfway mark of the year, we are going to start going uphill from here! Cross your fingers, send us good vibes, pray... do what you gotta do! We would greatly appreciate it!

Jesse is hanging in there. Leg still broken...Check. Still working his butt off... check. He goes to the doctor next week and there might be a possibility of getting the boot off. He will officially be 6 months out from the accident. Now you might be asking why he could get boot off if leg is still broken. Well... I ask that everyday but the steal rod in his leg is stronger than any bone so his leg is 'stable'. His bones are still broken in several places and will take years probably to heal but the rod is starting to do its job.

Most of you already know that we have had a rough week and a half. Jesse's Dad was airlifted to the hospital Thursday 05/12 for emergency heart surgery. He tore his Aorta and we were told he might not even make it to the hospital. Then we were told he wouldn't make it out of surgery. Then we were told he wouldn't make it through the night. See a pattern here???? Rich has continued to baffle nurses and doctors. They can not believe his improvements day by day and he is officially called 'The Miracle Man'. He is still in CCU but making improvements everyday and we continue to pray that we keep heading uphill from here.

What else has been going on with us....
Well Hayden has been taking swim lessons Saturday Mornings with her MeMe. She is getting more and more comfortable in the water but refuses to jump to the teacher into the water because her teacher dunked her under without telling her. Now she can't be trusted according to Hayden (and I don't blame her!) She will put her face under but her entire head is completely out of the question right now.

Bennett just finished her first Gymnastics class. It is the same class Hayden was in when she was her age. So funny how they are completely different. Even at that age, Hayden was all over the place and didn't care where I was. Boo is sooooo the opposite. She likes the class but makes sure I am no more than an arm length away at all  times!

I am desperately trying to get to the gym more. Boo is getting better and better about being in the nursery. Even though she does give me a guilt trip every time I pick her up. She is absolutely fine and playing (I can see her through the glass wall) but as soon as I walk through the door and she sees me, she is instantly screaming and crying for me! RIDICULOUS! Not a whole lot of running going on here. Jesse ran over my double stroller as it was sitting behind the Suburban in the driveway. So with that being out of commission at the moment, I don't really have a whole lot of kids free time (and when I say not a whole lot, I mean ZERO). I could run at night when the girls are in bed after Jesse gets home but I can't seem to make myself run in pitch black with no street lights.

Hayden has officially finished her first year of preschool. She 'graduated' from her 3 year old class with a cute dance and song number on stage at the church. I took pictures and video on my little point and shoot camera and hopefully I will get it off of there at some point to share. (I tend to leave it in my purse and never upload any pictures I take with it!) So with no more school we can start planning all of our summer activities. The girls are ready to hit the beach and so is Momma!

I have decided to slow the photography down quite a bit. With all that has been going on, adding hours of photo editing STARTING at 10pm has been just too much for me. I want to spend more time with the girls and not be exhausted from being up til 2am the night before working. Yes I love what I do but family wins hands down. One day I will be able to build and grow my photography business but today is not that day and I'm okay with that. I am going to concentrate on my current clients and their needs but for right now only book new clients for baby bump and newborn portraits. Maybe things will start to slow down soon and I will feel like I can start booking a little more, but for now I think this is the right decision.

Wow things get long when I don't blog for awhile! Thanks for sticking through that if you made it this far. And of course I'm going to add some photos. What would a blog be without photos. None of these are that recent. I have had no time to do personal photos recently so I am definitely backlogged. I finished some of my St. Patty and Easter/Spring pics of the girls and just wanted to share a few...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mothers out there! Being a Mom is the hardest and most rewarding job in the entire world and I am so grateful for my own Mom and my Mother-in-law. We love you so much and hope you know how much we all appreciate everything that you do. Have a fantastic day!

I am so happy to have gotten a photo of the girls with their Nana and Pop Pop. This was taken in their backyard right before we were off to dinner to celebrate my Dad's and my birthday and I think it turned out FABULOUS. They would much rather me take pictures of just the girls but I definitely needed a shot of the girls with two of their favorite people! Love you Mom. Happy Mother's Day to an amazing Mommy and a great Nana!

So these are looooooooong over due. I think I took these in January maybe???? Well it has been crazy hectic (if you know us at all you know what I'm talking about), not to mention all my editing time is spent editing client images these days! These are not fantastic as we did this after I did a shoot with my sister-in-law, it was past lunch time, and approaching nap time fast. Girls didn't want to cooperate (which is rare for my model babies!) I definitely owe Meme another shoot with the girls. But for now... here are two that I think are cute. Happy Mother's Day to a great Mother-in-law and the best Meme we know! Love you.

Just noticed that the girls are wearing the same dresses. Very rare since you know I love to shop and always have the girls in different outfits! Good thing I love these dresses and they are so cute! :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!
