Welcome to Our House...

After yesterdays fiasco I figured it was about time I posted some photos on the chaos that is our yard. First off let me just say that we have some pretty awesome neighbors for putting up with us through all this. We are hoping it won't be much longer but you never know when you are doing everything yourself on your time off (during 80 hour weeks!) Yes, I have an amazing husband who gets a whole lot of crap from me and my OCD complex but I love him so much and know how hard he is working.

THE BEGINNING...

THE GARAGE IS UP...

AND THE PAVER DRIVEWAY PROJECT BEGINS...
(let me just say this has been Hayden's favorite part! She is lovin all this dirt!)

AND THEN YESTERDAY HAPPENED...
The digging and removal of all the side/back yard dirt went smoothly over the weekend. Jesse dug up our actual driveway yesterday. Gravel rock was suppose to be delivered but only one truck load showed up (needs about 6 truck loads). As soon as he finished for the day it began to POUR!!! This would only happen to us you know that right??!!!

I'm thinking that Hayden's pony party is going to have to be cancelled, moved, or postponed. I hope to post updated photos soon (which would mean my yard is not going to look like this much longer!!!!)

A day at the beach...

90 degrees last weekend so off to the beach we went. Water was FREEZING but of course Hayden didn't seem to notice! "Mommy mommy, come swimming with me". Ummm...I think I'll pass Hayden! Love Yorktown Beach because there are no waves and Hayden can play in the water up to her knees and be totally content. Bennett was awesome and was taking in the whole event. Definitely need an umbrella or baby tent to keep her out of the sun. She didn't fuss at all even though I knew she had to be getting tired. We walked back to the car after a good two and a half hours, took off the bathing suits, and buckled in. Bennett was sound asleep before her seat belt even snapped!

*Please excuse the horrible P&S camera photos. Mommy isn't brave enough to bring the "big" camera to the beach with two girls, two beach bags, a cooler, and a bucket of toys all by herself :-)
